
Ankeny Centennial girls’ soccer standout Evie Boyle was unanimously selected to the CIML Conference first team, while Ankeny star Ava Paoli was a repeat pick to the squad. Two other Jaguars, Emmarie Becker and Mady Postma, were also first-team selections.
Boyle, a senior defender, had three goals and seven assists while helping Centennial to a 16-3-1 record and a second consecutive trip to the Class 3A semifinals. She played a key role on the back line as the Jaguars recorded 10 clean sheets in 20 games.
Boyle, who was a second-team pick in each of the previous two years, was one of four unanimous selections. The others were senior defenders Stella Braddock of Waukee and Izzy Simonini of Waukee Northwest and junior forward Olivia Rotich of Valley.

Becker, a senior midfielder, had seven goals and two assists. Postma, a junior forward, led Centennial with 11 goals.
Paoli, a senior forward, led the Hawkettes to an 11-6-1 mark and a ninth straight appearance in the state tournament. She led her team with 14 goals, seven assists and 35 points.
Three other Ankeny players were named to the CIML Conference second team, including repeat selections Sophia Kephart and Isabel Squires. They were joined on the squad by teammate Avery Taylor and the Centennial duo of McKenna Gray and Grace Poskevich.

Squires, a junior midfielder, had 13 goals and three assists. Taylor, a senior midfielder, contributed six goals and three assists.
Kephart, a junior defender, helped her team record three clean sheets. She also had six assists.
Poskevich, a sophomore midfielder, had three goals and four assists for Centennial. Gray, a junior defender, had two assists.

Two other Jaguars, senior midfielder Emily Conger and freshman forward Kayle Pezzetti, were selected to the all-conference third team. They were joined on the squad by sophomore forward Abby Steinkamp and sophomore defender Kiersten Petersen of Ankeny.
Steinkamp was a repeat selection to the third team. She had six goals and six assists.
Several other players earned all-conference honorable mention, including senior Sydney VanHouweling of Ankeny. She received honorable mention for the third straight year.
Seniors Allison Hawkins and Kyla Schaapveld of Ankeny also earned honorable mention along with juniors Josie Ehlinger and Rylee Litchfield, sophomore Hadley Bergan and freshman Gabby Berger of Centennial. Both Litchfield and Schaapveld received honorable mention for the second year in a row.
