Senior Christina Angran and junior Brandon Schumacher are two of the leaders on the Ankeny bowling teams. Schumacher has led the Ankeny boys' squad to a 2-4 record. Persistence has paid off for the Ankeny bowling teams. The Hawks and Hawkettes each earned their first victory of the season on Monday, defeating visiting Des Moines North at Great Escape. The Ankeny bowling teams picked a bad time to have an off night. Ankeny traveled to Marshalltown on Tuesday to compete in a Class 3A district tournament at Wayward Social.
