Monday wasn't the best time for the Ankeny girls' tennis team to face one of the state's top squads. The Hawkettes played host to Urbandale without their No. 2 singles player, sophomore Abby Johnson. The Ankeny boys' soccer team made a huge statement on Friday. The 12th-ranked Hawks got a hat trick from Charlie Pritchard and posted a 3-1 victory at No. 3 Valley, giving coach Jordan Burns his first win ever at Valley Stadium. Despite giving up its first two goals of the season, the Ankeny girls' soccer team won a pair of games on Saturday to remain unbeaten.
