The history of Ankeny boys' swimming dates back to the 1980s--before the Ankeny YMCA was even built. Ankeny boys’ quartet, Rumley earn all-American swimming honors

Five Ankeny swimmers have received all-American honors from the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association for the 2018-19 season. Boys' standouts Trent Frandson, Max Martin, Jae Swanepoel and Adam Vaske were honored along with girls' standout Jasmine Rumley. Frandson, a sophomore, earned all-American honors in four events. Senior Adam Vaske won four events to help the fifth-ranked Ankeny boys' swimming team to a 110-60 victory over visiting Des Moines Roosevelt on Thursday at Trail Point Aquatics Center. Hawk swimmers tie for 3rd at state, win coin flip for trophy

Thanks to the flip of a coin, the Ankeny boys' swimming team returned home from Saturday's state meet with a coveted trophy. The Ankeny boys' swimming team dominated Thursday's dual meet against visiting Southeast Polk from start to finish.
