The cancellation of the track season doesn't appear to have had an adverse effect on the Ankeny boys' cross country team. Senior linebacker Brecken Manus helped the Ankeny football team to a 7-4 record and a Class 4A quarterfinal appearance last season. He led the Hawks with 59 tackles. Sophomore pitcher Dylan Schlee helped the Ankeny baseball team to a 21-9 record and a second-place finish in the Class 4A state tournament. Sophomore outfielder Eva Fulk helped the Ankeny softball team to a 19-11 record this season. She has been named to the CIML Central Conference second team.
