High school qualifiers for the Drake Relays announced

It will be a busy three days at the Drake Relays for the Ankeny and Ankeny Centennial boys' and girls' track teams, who qualified for the meet in numerous events. Ames girls roll to 11-0 victory over Hawkettes

The Ames girls' tennis team showed on Friday why it's a threat to make another run at the Class 2A state team title. The Ankeny Centennial boys' track team won four events at the Waukee Invitational on Thursday, while crosstown rival Ankeny captured three. Ankeny sprinter Mayberry advances to 100-meter final at Kansas Relays

Ankeny's Mytika Mayberry has qualified for the finals in the 100-meter dash at the Kansas Relays. Mayberry won her preliminary heat on Friday in a time of 12.15 seconds, which set a personal record. Centennial’s Owens to join ISU wrestling program as preferred walk-on

Eric Owens celebrated his birthday on Wednesday night with a trip to Hickory Park. In the next few years, the Ankeny Centennial senior will have plenty of opportunities to visit the landmark Ames restaurant. The 12th-ranked Hawks got a hat trick from Charlie Pritchard and posted a 3-1 victory at No. 3 Valley, giving coach Jordan Burns his first win ever at Valley Stadium.
