Hawk swimmers win all 11 events en route to victory over Roosevelt

Some of the best races on Thursday at Trail Point Aquatics Center were between teammates on the Ankeny boys' swimming squad. Thursday's season-opening dual meet went about the way that Ankeny wrestling coach Jack Wignall expected. Ankeny bowlers fall to one of CIML’s top teams

The Ankeny bowling teams ran into one of the CIML's top bowling programs on Tuesday at Great Escape. Both Ankeny teams lost to Des Moines Lincoln, which placed seventh in last year's girls' Class 3A state tournament. The Railsplitters won the girls' meet by a score of 2,858 to 2,211, and they won the boys' meet by a score of 3,153 to 2,647. Experienced Hawk wrestlers have ‘tough kids up and down the lineup’

Sophomore Andrew Poock of the Ankeny boys' cross country team is the Ankeny Fanatic Sub of the Week sponsored by Blimpie.
