Depleted Hawks suffer 2-0 loss to Waukee

A couple of key injuries proved to be costly for the Ankeny boys' soccer team. The fifth-ranked Hawks played without senior Dayne Kajewski and junior Riley Wood in a 2-0 loss to No. 11 Waukee on Tuesday at Ankeny. Ankeny’s McCormick shoots season-best score in varsity debut

Madi McCormick made an impressive varsity debut for the Ankeny girls' golf team on Wednesday. Ankeny freshman Jaci Webb carded an 80 to place ninth as an individual in the Lamson Invitational girls' golf meet on Wednesday at Willow Creek. The Ankeny girls' tennis team dropped an 11-0 decision to visiting Valley in a CIML Central Conference dual meet on Tuesday. The win improved the Tigers to 4-1 in the conference and 8-3 overall.
