Freshman London Schuchart is a member of the Ankeny boys' tennis team. Schuchart played a key role in the Hawks' 10-1 victory at Ottumwa on April 2. Jaguars top Ankeny boys, clinch share of Central Conference crown

The Ankeny Centennial boys' tennis team continued its winning ways on Monday. This time, it came at the expense of its crosstown rival. The Jaguars clinched at least a share of the CIML Central Conference title with a 10-1 victory over Ankeny. It's time for the Ankeny and Ankeny Centennial girls' soccer teams to regroup. Both teams went 1-2 in the Tournament of Champions last week at Burlington. The boys' soccer substate assignments have been announced by the Iowa High School Athletic Association. Fifth-ranked Ankeny has been placed in Substate 3 in Class 3A. Senior Max Smith is the top sprinter on the Ankeny boys' track team. He won a pair of medals at the Drake Relays this weekend. Ankeny's Tim Sindt didn't mind coming in second place on Saturday. The only runner that beat him, Joe Schaefer of Johnston, is a good friend.
