The Ankeny boys' swimming team spoiled Johnston's Senior Night on Thursday at Summit Middle School. There wasn't any margin for error during Thursday's dual meet between the Ankeny and Dowling Catholic boys' swimming teams. Four of the state's top 10 boys' swimming teams were in action on Saturday at the Mike Wittmer Invitational in Ames. Fifth-ranked Ankeny placed second in the six-team field with 230 points. Hawk swimmers win all 11 events en route to victory over Roosevelt

Some of the best races on Thursday at Trail Point Aquatics Center were between teammates on the Ankeny boys' swimming squad. Hawk swimmers capture team title at Sprint Classic

Thanks to the flip of a coin, the Ankeny boys' swimming team returned home from Saturday's state meet with a coveted trophy.
