Thursday's Ankeny Centennial Invitational cross country meet produced numerous personal records for both the Ankeny and Centennial girls' teams. Ankeny sophomore Hunter Johnson wasn't ready to put his golf clubs away just yet. Hawks score 29 points in 2nd quarter, roll past Hoover

The field conditions at Des Moines Hoover's McGrane Stadium were less than ideal on Friday night. They didn't seem to bother the Ankeny football team. Senior outside hitter Taylor Richards has helped the Ankeny volleyball team to a 22-10 record and a No. 6 ranking in Class 5A. The Hawkettes won the Boone Invitational title on Saturday.
