Hawks win sprint medley relay at DouBrava Invitational

The Ankeny boys' track team won the sprint medley relay at the DouBrava Invitational on Tuesday at Urbandale. That was the lone victory of the night for the Hawks, who posted a time of 1:35.92. Hawkettes get wins from Sidney, 4×1 and 4×2 relays at Ames

Tuesday's Hi Covey Relays in Ames provided an opportunity for the Ankeny girls' track athletes to test themselves. The Hawkettes placed fourth in the eight-team field with 118.5 points. The Ankeny girls' golf team earned a fourth-place finish in the Urbandale Invitational on Monday at the Urbandale Golf and Country Club. The Ankeny boys' track team came away with a pair of victories in the Eastern Iowa Track & Field Festival on Saturday in Iowa City. The meet featured some of the state's top track athletes. A fairly strong wind created some havoc on Thursday for the Ankeny girls' tennis team. The Hawkettes' opponent created even more problems.
