Ankeny Centennial's Gabriel Vicker waited patiently to make his move during the Tom Karpen Invitational cross country meet on Tuesday. The strategy paid off in a big way. For the second time this season, the Ankeny and Ankeny Centennial boys' golf teams posted identical scores in an 18-hole tournament. The Ankeny girls' swimming team has dominated the month of September. The fourth-ranked Hawkettes raised their record to 4-0 with a 140-46 victory at Des Moines Roosevelt on Tuesday. The Ankeny boys' golf team was missing its top player on Monday. Crosstown rival Ankeny Centennial was missing its head coach, and perhaps its focus as well. Jaguars limit their mistakes, sweep Lincoln for confidence-boosting win

Ankeny Centennial volleyball player Olivia Anderson celebrated her 16th birthday on Tuesday with a sweep over visiting Des Moines Lincoln.
