Sophomore Ben McDermott was one of the top reserves this season for the Ankeny Christian Academy boys' basketball team. He helped the Eagles to a 21-4 record. Junior guard Jaron Crews helped the Ankeny Centennial boys' basketball team to a 24-3 record and a fourth-place finish in the Class 4A state tournament.
